Centerville slapped out 13 hits and beat Knoxville last night in softball 9-1. The Redettes got two runs in the second however Knoxville would plate its only run in the third when Ricki Hall brought home Carrie Chambers on an R-B-I single. Centerville would get four runs in the fifth, one in the sixth and two more in the seventh for the final margin. Emily Wallace took the loss for Knoxville going five innings giving up six runs on nine hits and striking out one, Delaynne South pitched the final two innings in relief. Knoxville is now 6-9 on the season and will take on class 4A top ranked Dallas Center-Grimes tonight.
