The Central women’s basketball team in 2013-14 finished seventh in the Iowa Conference, though the statistics show otherwise. The Dutch turned in a fantastic defensive performance, despite missing key players to help them light up their own section of the scoreboard. Coach Chelsea Petersen says she is very happy with how her team did in turnovers allowed per game, their free throw percentage and in points allowed per game. Central’s women finished 11 – 14 overall and lost just four seniors off their squad for the ’14-’15 season which will start in less than five months.
