Reaching as high as fourth this season, the Central softball team finished 2014 with a 20th ranking in the National Fastpitch Coaches Association poll. The Dutch went 30 – 12 on the season and made their 26th NCAA Division III tournament appearance in the past 29 seasons. Iowa Conference foe Luther finished at 14th while Coe ended at number 24. There is much to look forward to if you’re a Central softball fan; the Dutch return starters at eight positions next spring, including Whitney Sowers at third base, and second baseman Abbey Strajack.
