Knoxville’s second annual June Jamboree is Saturday, at Youngs Park starting at 8:30. Assistant City Manager Dylan Feik says the event supports the Parks and Recreation Department. He says it’s a family-oriented event that features a 5K run/walk as well as a 200 yard youth dash. Also scheduled for the day is a girls’ softball tournament, with four teams playing. Knoxville Morning Kiwanis will do a pancake feed, and offer hot dogs as well. Feik says there will also be a chance to try Cross-Fit, coached by KNX. The KNIA KRLS Little Red Radio will be on site, playing music and making announcements as well.
