Both Knoxville and Chariton Baseball Squads arrived at Principal Park in Des Moines yesterday looking to have some fun and play some baseball. What both teams and their fans saw was an awakening as the Panthers rapped out 18 runs on 19 hits to thoroughly dominate the Chargers 18-2 in a game that was stopped in the fourth inning due to the run rule. The day was highlighted by Jake Kendall’s two run home run to left field in the first inning. Kendall would go 3/4 with five R-B-I. Coach Joel Johnson told KNIA/KRLS Sports his team was ready to play. Cam Liston got the win giving up two runs on three hits and three strikeouts. Knoxville is now 7-5 on the season and will host Norwalk tonight in a varsity double header.
