The One to Count On...

Knoxville Raceway Hopes Rain Stays Away This Week

The Knoxville Raceway hopes to get more than just one heat race in this week. That is what happened last week as rain started falling after the first 305 heat race and lasted long enough to force officials to cancel the rest of the evening. Tonight is the scheduled week eight of the Lucas Oil Championship Cup Series and fierce points battles are starting to develop in the 305 and 360 divisions. In the 305s Matthew Stelzer leads Steve Breazeale by just 28 points, while Jon Agan leads Joe Beaver 52 points. Terry McCarl has jumped out to a 130 point lead over Ian Madsen in the 410s. With rain predicted in the forecast for today, stay tuned KNIA/KRLS for any schedule changes to tonight’s racing schedule as we will pass them along as soon as they become official. Live Track Side will get underway at five with Race Nights Live at seven on AM 1320 and 95.3 KNIA.
