The Knoxville Softball Squad jumped on Grinnell early and routed the Tigers in five innings last night 11-1. The Panthers also benefited from their 22 base runners getting either a walk, or reaching on an error or being hit by the pitch. Emily Wallace helped her own cause by going 2/2 with a triple and two walks, while Ricky Hall was 2/4 with three R-B-I. Coach Steph Christner was pleased with the fact that her girls hit the ball to the opposite field. Wallace had a great game in five innings giving up one run on two hits walking one and striking out five. Knoxville is now 2-3 on the season and 1-0 in the Little Hawkeye Conference, the Panthers travel to Oskaloosa tomorrow.
