Join a park ranger for a paddle to the Hickory Ridge Wilderness Campground. Participants can bring their own kayak or borrow one free of charge. A limited number of kayaks are available, so pre-registration is needed to borrow one and participants must be at least 16 years old to borrow kayaks for the activity, and adults must accompany minors. The event is at Whitebreast ramp at 5 pm Friday. The program is free of charge. Contact the Corps of Engineers at 828-7522 to register.
