The Marion County Courthouse clock tower project is progressing, but is going to take longer than initially thought. Larry Spellerburg, with Calhoun & Burns, spoke at the Supervisors meeting recently, and said there is more brick disintegration than anticipated. Spellerburg recommended replacing 100% of the bricks in the clock tower, which will come at a significant cost increase, and will increase the project time frame by about 2 months. The Supervisors asked for a change order to the contract, and will reconvene soon to discuss the issue.
