PCM’s baseball and softball teams had a good night on the diamond yesterday. The Mustangs’ boys trampled Colfax-Mingo, 11 – 3. Senior Troy Vittetoe had three hits in as many at bats, falling a home run shy of hitting for the cycle. Glenn Gillespie was 2-for-4 with four runs batted in. Austin Brown got the win on the mound, going the distance, striking out seven and allowing three runs. PCM’s girls stayed undefeated with a 6 – 2 win over the TigerHawks. Kayla Jennings earned the save and Emily Hugen knocked in two runs. The boys’ record swells to 4 – 2 and the girls are 6 – 0. PCM’s girls play Webster City today and the boys are off until Monday to take on C-M-B.
