Pella High baseball ended this past week of baseball with a 5 – 3 mark after splitting in the Williamsburg tournament on Saturday. The Little Dutch started to show some wear after a ten-inning game the night before, losing 9 – 1 to Williamsburg. Jason Morgan did hit his sixth home run of the season, but Coach Jesse Jablonski tells KNIA/KRLS Sports that his team came out a little flat. Game two went a little better, a 12 – 2, five-inning victory for Pella. The green gang scored five runs in the first and six more in the fifth to end it. Ethan Butler had two hits and three RBI’s, and Marcus Wittmer also had a triplet of RBI’s. Tyler Hillman pitched all five innings to earn his first ever varsity win on the mound. Pella is 13 – 8 and they will play Dallas Center – Grimes on Monday.
