Two games, two 10 – 0 wins for Twin Cedars’ baseball and softball yesterday over Moulton-Udell. The Sabers’ boys won in six innings, scoring their runs on 11 hits. Trace Embray threw four innings, not allowing a hit, and Garret Pettyjohn went the rest of the way, also allowing no hits with three strikeouts. Corey Harrell went 2-for-4 with a homer and two RBI’s, and Brent Parker also had two hits, including a double and a run batted in. The Saber girls only needed five innings in their victory. Mackenzie Sedlock got the shutout win on the mound. Brittney Roby had three hits, including a triple and an inside-the-park home run. She also drove in three runs. Twin Cedars’ baseball is now 9 – 0 and softball swells to 4 – 2. Both squads have a pair of tournaments next on the docket for Saturday; the boys head to Lisbon and the girls are in Oskaloosa.
