Melcher-Dallas and Pleasantville softball each had a win and a loss for their Saturday efforts at the Saints’ tournament. Melcher lost 13 – 4 in game one to Southeast Warren before coming back to take down Lamoni, 10 – 0 in game two. Anastasia Dennison went 4-for-5 in both games and Megan Roush was 3-for-6 with a home run and three RBI’s. Pleasantville won their first game but fell in the championship to the Warhawks, 3 – 2. The Saints have a tough contest coming up on Monday against Martensdale – St. Mary’s, and Pleasantville heads to Nodaway Valley for a conference contest.
