One great story over the past few years at Central has been the rising of the men’s and women’s soccer programs. The women have gone 34 – 19 – 5 over the past three seasons and the men have put together nine winnings campaigns in their last 12. Both coaches, Garry Laidlaw and Mike Kobylinski, work very closely with one another on both the men’s and women’s sides. Something that has kind of went under the radar is what has been happening on the schedule. The two squads have nearly identical conference and non-conference games, meaning they travel together quite a bit. Coach Kobylinski says there is nothing but positives that come away from this. The men will go off on their own to begin 2014, with a difficult test at home against Wisconsin – Oshkosh before joining up with the women to take on Minnesota – Morris.
