Much like it was in 2013, the Iowa Conference slate for men’s and women’s soccer will prove to be another challenging mountain to climb in 2014. On the men’s side, three teams from the league made it to the NCAA national tournament last year, the most of any conference. Coach Garry Laidlaw says most of the teams return a majority of their players this coming season so it will be tough. He adds that having a loaded non-conference schedule like they do once again this year will help prepare them for their run through the gamut. The Dutch men will open up their season playing a top-ten ranked Wisconsin – Oshkosh squad on August 29.
