A Tornado Watch has been issued for most of Central Iowa until 6 p.m. today. These storms are capable of producing strong tornadoes, wind gusts in excess of 80 mph, hail larger than 2 inches in diameter, and flash flooding this afternoon into the early evening hours. The KNIA/KRLS Severe Weather Action Team is on alert and monitoring the developing situation.
