Pleasantville and Twin Cedars’ softball were involved in several exciting affairs in Saturday’s tournament action in the North Mahaska tournament. The Trojans downed Twin Cedars, 4 – 3 and beat the host Warhawks, 5 – 4 in eight innings. The Sabers were held to just three hits in the loss, coming off the bats of Bailey Dunkin, Bailey Stone and Jensen Hastings. Twin Cedars lost to North Mahaska, 6 – 3. Brittney Roby was 3-for-4 with two doubles to continue her hot hitting at the plate, and Mackenzie Sedlock took the loss on the mound, giving up six runs on 12 hits. Trojans’ softball takes Monday off and will play Martensdale-St. Mary’s on Tuesday, while the Sabers also get back to work Tuesday, playing at Mormon Trail.
