For the first time at Ron and Joyce Schipper Stadium and the first time in nearly 40 years, Central football will be playing a game under the lights. The Dutch’s September 13 contest with Monmouth out of Illinois is scheduled for a 6:00 p.m. kick-off, and is the first home varsity game at night since a late September affair in 1976. Another oddity for Central’s schedule in 2014 is the fact they’ll be playing six of their ten games this season at home, which is also the most they’ve ever played in a season. The Dutch will officially kick their season off on September 6 with a night game on the road in Illinois against Benedictine.
