A win over Class 3A Pella propelling them into the weekend, the Pella Christian baseball team has the momentum on their side to make a final push before district play starts up for them within the next few weeks. The Eagles played nearly spotless ball defensively, something that has been lacking for them this season, and also have used some quality innings on the mound to lead them to their latest charge. Tonight, Pella Christian may be taking on Norwalk for two at home in a make-up from yesterday’s rained out affair. Though the Warriors are at the top of the conference, the Eagles did challenge them in their first meet-up, dropping a 4 – 1 decision. Coach Nate Johnson says tonight’s keys to the game start on the mound. Should umpires be available for the twinbill tonight, the varsity portion of the doubleheader will start with a game one first pitch at 5:30 p.m. at Pella Christian High.
