Four errors for the second straight night by PCM cost the Mustangs in an 8 – 0 Pella High baseball team win yesterday. Both teams stranded the bases loaded in the first, and nobody broke through until the second when Tanner Wood slapped an RBI double to left. The game broke open in the fifth, when Pella pushed five runs across, thanks to back-to-back two-run hits from Grant Judkins who doubled, and a triple from Jason Morgan. The eight runs were more than enough for pitcher Ethan Butler, who allowed just four hits in a complete game shutout. Coach Jesse Jablonski says Butler was outstanding. Chase Keuning had two of the Mustangs’ hits. PCM is now 11 – 13 while Pella improves to 20 – 12. The Little Dutch play Ballard tonight, and PCM is off until tomorrow when they host Pella Christian.
