Today is Independence Day, the day we celebrate the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776. For many Americans it means getting together with family and friends for cookouts, camping, and fireworks, and paying respect to our nation and those who fought and died to keep the United States a free nation. Viet Nam War veteran Dan Dennison, from Knoxville, spent a year serving in Viet Nam. Dennison says he hopes that as a country we always stay a proud nation, and do what’s right by God and by our country.
