Pella Christian’s softball team rose to the occasion during their memorable postseason run in 2014.

They defeated a very good Cardinal of Eldon team handily in round one, breezed by Jesup in the semifinals, and had number-one ranked Highland up against the ropes in the bottom of the seventh, but fell just short of the upset. The team as a whole accomplished so many things with such a youthful group on the diamond. Coach Karen Harrill says she’s happy that she’s been able to get so close to her Eagles, and she hopes she continues to strengthen her relationships with the athletes on the team each season. There were eight freshmen and two eighth-graders listed on the varsity roster for Pella Christian in 2014, and look to make some noise when 2015’s season starts in ten short months.
