The postseason is here for the Knoxville Softball Squad. The Panthers will begin class 4A regional play hosting Des Moines Hoover out of the Central Iowa Metro League Metro Division. The Huskies on the surface have struggled to a 4-23 record. With only four wins, many would think this is going to be an easy game for Knoxville. However, Coach Steph Christner says Hoover’s schedule consists of some of the top 5A schools in the state, so they have played a tough schedule. The Panthers have not played any slouches either with 4A number one ranked Dallas Center-Grimes, also a ranked Oskaloosa, and several other rated teams in classes 1, 2, and 3A. Christner tells KNIA/KRLS Sports her girls just simply need to take care of what they can control. You can hear the call on AM 1320 and 95.3 KNIA with Derek Cardwell at 6:45.
