You may have noticed a new addition to the entrance at Young’s Park in Knoxville, near Highway 14. The Marion County Freedom Rock was placed recently, and it’s gotten a patriotic makeover. Ray “Bubba” Sorenson is the Freedom Rock painter that decorates the huge boulder near Greenfield, and in a salute to veterans in the state, he is on a mission to place a freedom rock in all 99 Iowa counties.
