Pella High baseball rebounded from a tough loss to Pella Christian on Friday, downing Des Moines North 7 – 1 last night. Ethan Butler got the win on the mound, going six innings, giving up no runs and striking out eight. Tanner Wood was 2-for-4 at the plate with an RBI and a triple. Tyler Hillman also drove in two runs in the Little Dutch victory. On the softball diamond, the Lady Dutch took down North Mahaska by a final of 4 – 1. Elyse Sadler gave up just three hits on the mound while Pella pounded out nine of their own. Sara Tallman had three doubles in four at-bats and Sadler contributed two hits at the plate. The Little Dutch are 17 – 9 while the girls improve to 7 – 18. Pella heads to Norwalk for a single game later tonight.
