Fresh off of a loss from a winnable game against Pella Christian on Friday, the Pella High baseball team has been able to have the past three days to mentally recharge. The Little Dutch came back not once, but twice from a one-run deficit to the Eagles to tie, and had several opportunities to win the game, stranding 13 runners on base, seven of which were in scoring position. With a busy week in front of them starting tonight, Coach Jesse Jablonski says the time away from baseball should do wonders for his team. Pella plays at Des Moines North tonight then will travel to Norwalk tomorrow before finishing the week with the make-up doubleheader against Knoxville on Thursday. Today’s varsity contest is scheduled for a 5:30 p.m. first pitch.
