Three members of the Pella High baseball team were recognized on the 2014 All-District team for the southeast district. On the first team were Tanner Wood and Grant Judkins. Wood was named as a utility player, hitting .319 on the year while driving in 18 runs. He also sported a 7 – 2 mark as a pitcher, with an ERA of 2.10 and 52 strikeouts. The sophomore Judkins also did dual duty for the Little Dutch. He hit .383 with 19 doubles, four homers and drove in 39 runs on the season. Pella’s shortstop also went 6 – 4 on the mound with a respectable 2.10 ERA and 75 punch-outs in ten outings. Senior Austin Titman was named to the second team, with a .308 batting average, 31 RBI’s, and a 1.20 ERA pitching, in mostly relief situations. Pella finished the year with a mark of 26 – 14.
