Two Little Hawkeye Conference foes meet once again in the postseason tonight, this time on the baseball field, as Saydel welcomes Pella High and Grinnell for the Class 3A district opener. Pella was blanked by the Tigers and Eli Dunne in their first meeting of the season, before the Little Dutch came up with two big wins in a doubleheader on the road, one of them over the powerful Dunne. Coach Jesse Jablonski says it’ll be up to his guys to at least put the bat on the ball tonight, as they have struck out 20 times in the two times they have faced the senior Tiger this year.
