It’s not often you see a softball player like Twin Cedars’ Brittney Roby come through town. Just announced, Roby was selected to the first team All State, making her a five-time recipient of such an honor. Also, for the second time in her high school career, the Saber was selected as Co-Class 1A Player of the Year. Roby hit a season-high .651 at the plate, which was the highest out of any class, and hit 18 doubles, five triples and four home runs this season. Roby owns the record for all-time best batting average in Iowa girls’ softball with a .655 clip she turned in back in 2012. Roby will be playing softball for DMACC when classes start there this fall.
