Not showing one another much due to the fact that they are lumped into the same postseason district, but it was Twin Cedars that defeated Pleasantville baseball last night, 11 – 4. Drew Carlson had four singles in as many at bats, Garrett Pettyjohn had three hits and Brent Parker added a first inning home run offensively for the Sabers. Trace Embray threw three-and-two-thirds innings, allowing three runs on four hits. The Sabers are 26 – 0 and the Trojans fall to 20 – 7. Twin Cedars hosts Class 4A Ottumwa tonight and Pleasantville is on the road against Nodaway Valley.
