Otis Roby was perfect, the offense came up with big hits and Twin Cedars’ baseball team rolled to an 11 – 0, five-inning victory last night over Moulton-Udell in the Class 1A district tournament opener. Roby and Trace Embray faced the minimum, striking out 14 of the 15 batters they took on while allowing no hits. Embray had two run-scoring singles and drove in three on the night, and Coy Moore added an RBI double for the Sabers. Coach Matt Miller says after a “slow start,” his team got down to business. Twin Cedars is now 30 – 0 on the season and they’ll play Southeast Warren in the semifinals tomorrow night, a game which can be heard on AM 1320 and FM 95.3 KNIA.
