Sammy Swindell has decided to pull off the World of Outlaws tour for a couple of weeks and concentrate on the upcoming 54th Annual Knoxville Nationals. That means the 1983 Nationals Winner will be racing for the next couple of Saturdays at the raceway. Swindell says it is a positive to be at Knoxville, and he wants to capitalize on the opportunity to get dialed in for the event. Last year many have been one of the worst Nationals for Swindell as he only made it to the C-Main on Saturday night after starting in the E-Main. He has raced in 31 Knoxville Nationals main events with one win, 14 top fives, and 20 top tens.
