A brief round of severe weather made it’s way through parts of eastern Marion County late Sunday. The KNIA/KRLS Severe Weather Action Team was on the air a little after 10 p.m. for a pair of warnings, including a severe thunderstorm warning and a tornado warning for extreme parts of eastern Marion County. Outdoor warning sirens went off in Pella and in Harvey. A little after 10 p.m., the Severe Weather Action Team was live on the air with two live in our studios, live updates from Weathereye meteorologists, and two members of the news team called in live reports from around the county. The National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center has issued a slight risk of severe thunderstorms that continues through the overnight hours tonight.
