Baseball and softballs alike were flying over the diamond for the away team last night. Pleasantville’s boys trounced Central Decatur 20 – 2 in four innings. Patrick Sheehey allowed just two hits in his time on the rubber to get the win. Josh Luna also added a three-run homer for the victorious Trojans. It was a closer affair on the softball diamond, but it was still a Trojan winner, 7 – 6. Hannah Gordon and Traci Kunze each hit a long fly in the win. Bailey Oliva pitched a complete game, allowing six runs on seven hits and striking out six. Trojans’ softball improves to 12 – 15 and baseball is now 17 – 5. Each team is back on the dirt this evening; baseball is at Chariton while the girls play at home against Clarke.
