At about 10:15 Thursday evening, Knoxville Fire and Rescue, Knoxville Police and the Marion County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a two-car accident on Highway 14, near the overpass on the south side of Knoxville. Fire Chief Jim Mitchell tells KNIA KRLS News that a vehicle had pulled off the exit ramp and was broadsided in the passenger doors by another vehicle. The driver of the first vehicle was transported to Knoxville Hospital and Clinics, and the second driver refused transport. Mitchell says minor injuries were sustained by both drivers, and both vehicles were towed, with significant damage.
