Both Pella High and Saydel’s baseball teams walked off on their opponents in the seventh inning of their first round district tournament games on Friday, and Monday, the two schools will meet in the district final, with a trip to the Class 3A substate final up for grabs. Both teams did play during the regular season, way back on June 17, in a 6 – 2 Pella High victory. The Little Dutch used a five-run fifth to rally past the Eagles. Monday night could be a different story, as each squad is riding the high of a walk-off win a few days ago. Coach Jesse Jablonski says he wants his to be psyched up for Saydel after their dramatic victory, but also wants them to be focused on the task at hand. Monday night’s game can be heard live on 92.1 KRLS and streamed live at with Cory Houser and Marcus Johnson providing you the play-by-play. Pregame coverage starts at 6:45 p.m. with first pitch at seven.
