Many of the players that were a part of the 2014 Twin Cedars state baseball championship team that did not graduate are back on the gridiron getting ready for the 2014 football season. Last year, the Sabers won their first playoff game in several years with a lot of those same seniors that hoisted the Class 1A State Baseball Championship trophy this summer. Sabers coach, Aaron Allspach, says he has noticed an added hunger during camps and practices now that the school has had their appetite satiated with a state title. Twin Cedars’ football season starts this Friday with a game at home against a former 11-man team, English Valleys.
