The Central football team has been picked to finish right in the middle of pack in the Iowa Conference for the 2014 season. Wartburg was the unanimous choice after winning the league last year with a 6 – 1 record. The Knights’ head coach voted for Central to finish first since they could not vote for themselves in the poll. Wartburg is also ranked in a few national polls; 17th according to D3football.com and 23rd by Lindy’s. The Dutch open up their 2014 campaign with a road game next Saturday in Illinois against Benedictine.
