The fall sports season will officially kick off, or have its first serve in this case, tonight for Pella Christian. Marshalltown invades the Tulip City for a JV/Varsity doubleheader to begin the 2014 volleyball campaign for the Eagles and Bobcats. Marshalltown went 14 – 22 a year ago and lost ten seniors in total. The Eagles defeated the Bobcats in four sets to begin the 2013 season. Coach Cindy Nikkel says her team does look strong so far during practices and camps, but has noticed that their serving must improve for them to have success. The JV teams will play first at Pella Christian High tonight starting at 5:30 p.m. with a first serve for the varsity contest at seven.
