The 2nd Annual Go-Kart Spectacular brought racecar drivers Jeff Gordon, Tony Stewart, Kasey Kahne, and Kyle Larson to Slideways Karting Center in Knoxville Wednesday.

Organizer Kendra Jacobs says the competition among the drivers is fierce, but everyone participating helps to fund a great cause.

“60 fans have all donated a minimum of $300 to Kick It For Children’s Cancer, which is a program of Jeff Gordon Children’s Foundation.”

The fans who made donations will get to race against the drivers in a series of heat races that will be finished off with a 20-lap feature race.

“It’s a great event. All the money goes to children’s cancer research and best part about it is everyone has a really good time.”

This year’s event has already brought in over $22,000 for children’s cancer research.
