Another Knoxville Nationals is in the books.
Now officials at the Knoxville Raceway are looking at how the overall experience compared to previous years. Raceway General Manager Brian Stickel told KNIA/KRLS News that despite the rain affecting the event schedule, the Nationals were once again a success.
“The racing was good. The atmosphere was good. People were upbeat. And we’ve kind of adopted the moniker, ‘We’re the Disneyland of Motor Sports’, so we want that feel-good feeling all the time.”
Knoxville Raceway saw 85,873 people attend during the 10-day event. Stickel says the work begins right away on figuring out ways to make the overall Nationals experience even better for fans next year.
