Coming into the 2014 season, the Little Hawkeye Conference was anticipated to be a logjam in the top half. Basically, you could have put Knoxville, Pella, Norwalk and Dallas Center-Grimes into a hat, pulled one out, and it would not have been a shocker if that team ended up as conference champs. First time through, the Little Dutch had their struggles and were a few games below .500 at the midway point. Coach Jesse Jablonski says the team was not happy with where they were at, but did a nice job of adjusting the second time around. Pella finished the conference schedule with an 11 – 10 mark and placed fourth in the league.
