Doing the best they possibly could with the first six games of their regular season schedule, the Pella High baseball team soared out of the game with an unblemished record. They knocked off a ranked Fairfield team, a Centerville squad that ended up being ranked at the end of the season, and dominated the competition with strong pitching and timely hitting. Coach Jesse Jablonski says he told his guys that they needed to keep looking forward and keep the foot on the gas pedal. Pella did just that, and ended up in the substate final, only one game away from state. They finished the year 26 – 14 overall.
