Pitching dominated the Little Hawkeye Conference in softball for 2014. The good news for six teams in the L-H-C is that Paige Lowary graduated and will not be back in 2015. The bad news, according to Pella Christian head coach, Karen Harrill, is that the rest of the pitching was young last season and will be back to wreak havoc on batters next year. Harrill says, though, that it does nothing but help her team come playoff time. Paige’s sister, Rachel, who throws almost as hard as just a sophomore returns, as well as a majority of the pitchers from Norwalk and Oskaloosa, who both reached the state tournament. The Eagles’ hurlers, all three of them, are all back, too, along with Elyse Sadler from Pella.
