One person is injured after a three-vehicle crash on Highway 163 this evening. Emergency agencies responded to the scene at 5:30 p.m. near Mile Marker 40 of Highway 163 eastbound of a car on its side. Extrication was required to rescue the driver of the vehicle. The driver was transported to Pella Regional and the extent of injuries has not been released. Traffic was reduced to one lane for more than an hour as crews assisted the driver and police investigated the scene. The Iowa State Patrol, Marion County Sheriff’s Office, Pella Police, Pella Rural Fire, and Pella Ambulance responded to the accident. It remains under investigation.
