If you are a baseball fan and live in or near Marion County, there were many places you could have went this past season to catch some really good games and some very talented players. This is evident with the amount of local names that paint the 2014 Iowa All-State baseball team that was released yesterday. On the Class 3A squad, Grant Judkins from Pella was named to the second team, while Knoxville’s Kevin Woodhouse was selected to the third team. Following their state championship performance, Twin Cedars had five players make it to the Class 1A all-state team. On the first team were pitcher Coy Moore, catcher Hunter Embray, who was also selected as the Class 1A Team Captain, first baseman Corey Harrell, and Otis Roby. Brent Parker was named to the third team. Pleasantville’s Josh Luna and Patrick Sheehey were also named to the Class 1A first team.
