The National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center has issued a slight risk of severe thunderstorms tonight for Marion County and Central Iowa.

A line of strong thunderstorms is excepted to move across the state late this evening into the early morning hours. Large hail, strong winds, and heavy rainfall causing flash flooding are the primary threats. The KNIA/KRLS Severe Weather Action Team is on alert and monitoring the developing situation.
