His year on the mound cut short due to an injury, Andrew VanderHart was still able to turn in a successful season for the Pella Christian baseball team this year. Though the senior was re-assigned to be the Eagles’ first baseman, he still made the most of it, hitting .322 with seven doubles, a home run and 13 RBI’s. Coach Nate Johnson says a lot of credit should be given to both of his seniors, VanderHart and Coltin Collins. Pella Christian went 11 – 22 in their 2014 campaign.
