Flu season can arrive at any time, making it all the more important to get your flu shot soon. Marion County Public Health Nurse Judi Van Hulzen explains why they’re important.

“It’s so important because we don’t wanna be the one that made somebody else sick,” Van Hulzen told KNIA/KRLS News. “With the flu, you can actually pass the flu to somebody else at least a day or two before you even have signs and symptoms.”

Some of the symptoms of the flu include fatigue, achiness, fever, chills, along with a runny or stuffy nose. Flu shots can be obtained by most area pharmacies, your primary care provider, or your public health office.
