Pleasantville’s volleyball team got off on the right foot in conference play last night, sweeping Martensdale – St. Mary’s in straight sets, 25 – 17, 25 – 14, and 25 – 15. Kennedy Core had another monster game, recording 19 kills and 12 digs, while going perfect from behind the service line with two aces. Avari Heinz – Pence had ten kills, and Kylie Busick had 17 digs for the Trojans, who are now 8 – 1 on the season. They will be in Bussey this Saturday for the Twin Cedars tournament.
